Top Turkish officials on Sunday met the visiting secretary general of the Council of Europe.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gul met Marija Pejcinovic Buric in the capital Ankara during her two-day visit, Çavuşoğlu said in a tweet.

In Istanbul on Monday Buric is set to attend the opening ceremony for the Project to Support the Implementation and Reporting of the Human Rights Action Plan, a project to be carried out by Turkey’s Justice Ministry.

Buric started her job as the council’s new head in mid-September.
