Following Turkey’s launch of Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria, panic-stricken terrorists belonging to the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the YPG, attempted to use Daesh captives to gain leverage.
Since the beginning of Turkey’s freshly-launched anti-terror operation in Syria, Mustafa Bali, a so-called spokesperson for the YPG, repeatedly said that they were forced to pull out all their “forces” who were guarding Daesh prisons and camps, causing a mass release terrorists.
Even though the terror group wanted to present this situation as a consequence of the military operation, reports from the area prove otherwise.
Speaking to two reporters from France’s Le Parisien newspaper, a female Daesh detainee, who fled the prison, said that the YPG had set them free, urging prisoners to evacuate.
“The YPG abruptly told us to get out and run”, she said, underlining that the terrorists deliberately opened the jail doors in the Ayn Issa camp.
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that YPG terrorists in northeast Syria may be releasing captive Daesh terrorists to lure U.S. troops back to the area, adding that they could be easily recaptured.
