Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose 0.32%, or 349.93 points, to start the last trading day of the week at 109,008.91 points.

At Thursday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index soared 0.89% to reach 108,658.98 points with a daily trading volume of 10 billion Turkish liras ($1.74 billion).

The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.7500 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, compared to 5.7550 at Thursday’s close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 6.3870, versus 6.3910, and one British pound traded for 7.5830 Turkish liras, versus 7.5640 at the previous close.

One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $63.30 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Friday.
