Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Hungarian counterpart Janos Ader met on Thursday in the capital Budapest.

The bilateral meeting at Sandor Palace came during Erdogan’s one-day official visit to Budapest to attend the 4th meeting of the Turkey-Hungary High Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

Erdogan will co-chair the meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Turkey and Hungary will sign several agreements for further strengthening the bilateral cooperation as part of the meeting.

Later Thursday, Erdogan is also expected to visit the Tomb of Gul Baba — a 16th century Ottoman dervish — in Budapest, and the Ottoman Era Turkish Archery in Miniatures Exhibition.
