Turkey’s Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop on Thursday met with Qatari premier Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani in the capital Ankara.

The closed-door meeting at the Turkish parliament speaker’s office lasted for nearly an hour.

Following the meeting, Al Thani visited sections of the Turkish parliament which were bombed during the defeated coup of July 15, 2016.

Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup, which martyred 251 people and injured nearly 2,200 others.

Later on Thursday, Şentop also received Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia in his office.

The meeting was also closed to the media.
