Turkey’s benchmark stock index rose 0.17%, to start Monday at 100,385.44 points.

On Friday, Borsa Istanbul’s index decreased 0.13% to close the day at 100,215.95 points with a daily trading volume which was 5.5 billion Turkish liras ($951.4 million).

The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 5.7690 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, compared to 5.7660 at Friday’s close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate declined to 6.3950, versus 6.4000, and one British pound traded for 7.4090 Turkish liras, while it stood at 7.4040 at the previous close.

One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $61.57 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Monday.
