The Turkish Contractors Association (TMB) and the Overseas Construction Association of Japan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation.

The MoU was signed during the Japan visit of the TMB delegates and Gonca Yilmaz Batur, the Turkish deputy trade minister, according to the Trade Ministry on Friday.

As part of the two-day visit on Nov. 27-28, Turkish-Japanese Contracting Cooperation Seminar was organized to discuss bilateral projects between the two countries.

Batur met CEOs of 29 Japan companies which aim to invest in Turkey’s energy, automotive, infrastructure, construction, textile, finance and food sectors.

She also held official talks with deputy Japanese ministers, including her counterpart Shigehiro Tanaka to discuss the Turkey-Japan free trade agreement.
