On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index went up 1.21% to close the day at 107,126.18 points with a daily trading volume of 7.5 billion Turkish liras (some $1.3 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.7603 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, compared to 5.7680 at Thursday’s close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 6.3407, versus 6.3540, and one British pound traded for 7.4355 Turkish liras, versus 7.4570 at the previous close.
